2017 "Prime Number" Chardonnay

Chardonnay is sometimes called the winemaker’s grape because you can manipulate it in so many ways. When all the elements are balanced it can be one of the greatest food pairing wines in the world. 

2017 is a prime number, and such numbers are unexpected. Our 2017 Chardonnay is surprising as well, with a full mouthfeel, moderate acidity, and a bit of funk.  A combination of ripe apple, a bit of oak, and a Jura-style oxidative touch makes this a great pairing for a fancy dinner, a barbeque, or buttered popcorn, adding to the meal, without demanding all the attention.
